Energy healing is viewed many different ways, but most often it's called "Woo Woo"
Some people are sold out to the healing power of all types of energy healing. But Christians struggle with the concept and often ask: Can we really trust energy healers?
The short answer is: never trust an energy healer… at least, not blindly. And here’s why. (Christian Perspective)

God is the True Healer
Romans 3:4 says:“Let God be true, and every man a liar.”
This verse reminds us that human beings are imperfect. People can make mistakes, exaggerate, or misunderstand spiritual principles. But God is perfect and trustworthy, and His Word is true. So when it comes to healing, we must always look to Scripture first.
The Bible makes it clear that God is the ultimate healer:
Exodus 15:26: “…for I am the LORD that healeth thee.”
Psalm 103:2–3: “Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases.”
Jeremiah 30:17: “For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the LORD.”
God promises restoration, not just for our souls, but for our bodies, too.
Healing Through Hands
The Bible also shows that God often heals through human vessels:
Mark 16:17–18: “…they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.”
Acts 28:8: “…Paul entered in, and prayed, and laid his hands on him, and healed him.”
Notice that Paul didn’t perform miracles on his own. He laid hands and prayed, and God performed the healing. This is a key principle: the power comes from God, and we are simply vessels.
Jesus Healed at a Distance Too
But Jesus didn’t just heal in person. In Matthew 8:13, we read:"And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour."
The servant wasn’t in the room. He wasn’t touched. He wasn’t even near Jesus. Yet, he was healed instantly. Why? Because distance doesn’t limit God. His power isn’t bound by space or time.
This is why energy healing at a distance can be so effective. It’s not about our power, it’s about God’s presence, which fills the entire earth.
God Is the Source of All Healing
Acts 17:28 reminds us:"For in him we live, and move, and have our being…"
Whether healing happens through hands-on prayer or across miles, the source is always the same, God Himself. So when people say, “Never trust an energy healer,” the truth is this: you’re not trusting a healer, you’re trusting the God who heals through them.
Energy Healing in Light of Scripture
So, how does this relate to energy healing? Well, Jesus Himself commanded His followers in Matthew 10:8:“Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.” And, He said in John 14:12:“…He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.”
The key takeaway? Healing is a spiritual gift, and God has given us the authority. through faith and obedience, to participate in His work. In fact, it was commanded to them to go out and heal and do greater works.
How to Recognize a Faithful Energy Healer
There are many types of energy healers, using different methods. Not all of them will "use God as source" but there are many Christian healers out there. So, as a Christian, if you are looking for a healer, look for these qualities:
They rely on the power of God/Jesus’ name.
They operate through the Holy Spirit dwelling within them.
They recognize that healing comes from God, not themselves.
When these conditions are met, you can trust God’s Word that healing can flow through faithful vessels.
The Bottom Line
Never trust an energy healer simply because of human ability. Trust God. He is the ultimate healer. And when His gifts flow through obedient vessels, miracles happen.
Whether you are seeking physical, emotional, or spiritual healing, always remember:
God is true.
Humans are fallible.
Healing comes from God, and we are the vessels.
